Writer's block. I have it right now...except that I certainly wouldn't consider myself a writer. So, maybe I should call it Blogger's block. I'm so wanting to say something so creative, inspiring, and hilarious so that you'll want to continue reading my blog, but all I have is....nothing at the moment. I had started blogging 2 1/2 years ago, and that lasted all of 2 weeks or so. I had just had my third baby and blogging was not on my priority list. Things like, "sleeping", "breathing", and "functioning" were on the list. And, "don't kill my other two children" and "try not to cry today".... But I digress.
I wanted to set up this blog (had to come up with a new url, title and password because for the life of me I could not remember the other one) to share life stories (especially the funny ones), encourage people, and also reach out to teens and parents of teens. I don't have a teenager yet, but my husband and I have been working with teens (junior highers specifically) for the past 10 years so there are things/patterns that I see and a lot I have learned about people in general. People are weird.
So, some blogs will have real purpose and meaning. Others may not. Who am I kidding? MOST may have no purpose other than to share a funny story. But that's ok because sometimes we just need a good laugh. You know how Elf says, "I like smiling. Smiling's my favorite"? Well, I like laughing. Laughing's my favorite.
God is definitely a God of humor. Just go to Walmart.

That's one of my favorite lines from lines from Elf too, LOL! I am glad to see you on here, and look forward to your encouragement and humor. I have a junior higher, and sometimes it is frustrating, sometimes hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 kids so I can totally relate to breathing, sleeping and eating priorities lol. One of them is 10 going on 15 so I get a taste of what is to come(teens). *GULP*
ReplyDeleteKeep blogging, sometimes "nothing to say" blogs are the best.
